Why is there a billing bias and how to prevent it?

In the actual operation process, due to incorrect billing accuracy, network jitter and rate setting, there may be some errors in the billing of VOS platforms on both sides. For example, in enterprise traffic, the duration of the call is generally not long, and the error of the accuracy of the charging duration may be amplified due to the particularity of the service. The VOS of V2.1.7.00 and subsequent versions introduces the function of bilateral reconciliation, which is used for real-time reconciliation of VOSs on both sides, and gives alarm information in time, so that both operators can find errors and correct billing errors in time. Efficiently avoid disputes caused by accounting errors.

Example three:

For example, the call is from 10:00:01.020 to 10:00:03.030

The actual talk time is 2.010 seconds

Billing according to 1000 millisecond precision, the actual billing time is 2 seconds.

Billing according to 1 millisecond accuracy, the actual billing time is 3 seconds.

Specific billing accuracy can be adjusted in system parameters

Bilateral reconciliation:

This function effectively improves the efficiency of reconciliation between the docking and landing parties. The docking and landing parties only need to manually verify the accounts within the period in which the alarm is generated.

Setting method: Under the premise that both the docking party and the landing site use 2.1.7.00 or higher, the bilateral reconciliation function can be enabled for both the docking and landing. The docking party and the drop location first check “Enable Bilateral Reconciliation” in the “Supplemental Settings > Other” option in the gateway of the other party on the VOS.

At the same time set parameters such as reconciliation period, reconciliation error threshold. The system will automatically detect the consumption deviation of both accounts according to the set detection period. When the deviation reaches the set upper limit value, the alarm of VOS3000 will be triggered, and the relevant personnel will be promptly reminded to manually check the account balance.

After both parties have enabled the reconciliation function, the “Double Bilateral Reconciliation Error” alarm or the “Floating Bilateral Reconciliation Error” alarm can be set in the VOS3000.

Note: The default period of the bilateral reconciliation alarm is 30 minutes. You can customize the settings in the client system management > system parameters > SERVER_GATEWAY_BILATERAL_RECONCILIATION_PERIOD. When setting, pay attention to the range of values in the parameter description.

The bilateral reconciliation alarm settings are as follows:

Upper threshold: The other party’s VOS account triggers an alarm when the current VOS account amount is higher than 10 yuan.

Lower threshold: The other party’s VOS account triggers an alarm when the current VOS account amount is less than 10 yuan.

When the error of both parties is detected within the threshold range of the alarm, the alarm will be triggered, as shown in the following figure:

The alarm value of 100 means that the VOS account of the other party is 100 yuan more than the current VOS account amount. If it is -100, it means that the VOS account of the other party is 100 yuan less than the current VOS account amount.

In VOS2009, the error value can be viewed through the “bilateral reconciliation” button, but VOS2009 does not have the active push alarm function.
